March 19 Day 12
Zephaniah 3:17
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
REFLECTION
Our focus during this Lenten season has been on commitment. But do we ever stop to consider God’s commitment to us? Reverence, awe, and fear make up authentic worship because God is our heart’s true desire. In our experience of metanoia we turn back to a God that offers the healing we long for, the hope we lost, and the righteousness we are starving for.
All we lack is found in our Creator; how can we possibly respond with less than our whole being? How can we wander…or turn…from the One who never turns from us?
PRAYER: Lord, you alone are worthy of our praise and our devotion. Your constancy draws us in, your strength overawes us, and your grace humbles us. Help us to lean on you in our weakness and cling to you in our desperation. AMEN
